Cards for Courage

My favorite part about doing Cards for Courage is the knowledge that each and every card, and what goes inside them, brings a smile to at least one person’s face. That’s 6,358 smiles this year. And over 35,000 smiles since we began. Everything that is in the cards is hand made in some way, and can be carried around like a friendship bracelet, or a colored picture, or a bookmark, something that can be used for an extended period of time for a lasting impact. We decided to send to these groups of people because returning military members often feel incredibly lost and lonely when they return home from being overseas, and they deserve someone who they don’t know, and have never seen before, to express their appreciation. We also send to a Wounded Warriors group and have been told extensively of the impact it made in bringing holiday joy every year for the past 5 years.
